Should we go round posting that on the different forums or are you going to?

Lionclaws pulled something dirty.  They planned a major Soviet vs US event on the last weekend of Eastwind.  Not sure if that annoys the organizers but it may pull our Kalifornia brothers away.

Well to be truthful it is a RussFed vs US game.

Not at all concerned that anybody serious about EW would rather go to that instead:)

I am not too worried about it.

First off, the more themed games the better.

Second off, I doubt those who are serious about East Wind would change plans for it.

1 week vs 2 days for about the same price, plus most likely more period correct gear than you can shake a stick at.....

Yeah, I'll stick with Eastwind Smiley.

Well shit howdy, find another starshina, I'm going to Lions Claws.

NOT.

I just wonder to myself (and now all of you) if thise date was intentional, or not so much.  If the former, well poo on you...if not, so be it.  Nice to see that the "mainstream" is finally catching up to the avant garde!

Agreed, Just saw 2 youtube posts about Lion Claw and it looks like the D-day of Airsoft (I.E. A clusterF##k)

Period Correct gear...out of the window and plywood tanks.  Price is shady for that kind of play. If you want to screw around for 2 days OP Lion Claw looks great.....if you want 9 days of Operations.......OP EW!

I doubt its on purpose.  From what I understand he aims for a certain month and asked the military bases or the venues what is the best weekend for them.  I HIGHLY doubt most of the venues or military bases are even aware of Eastwind.

It really doesn't matter anyway. Anyone out here with the time, gear, and dedication would choose EW hands down. I mean side by side both events are in totally different leagues. Let the sheep have their "Lion Claws" and the men have EW. A lot of us Cali folk know about EW if some come great if I'm the only one... Well everyone else is missing out. I can only plug this event so much over here if Lion Claws is more their style of play I won't be one to question it. We are only looking for that 1% of the community crazy enough for EW anyway right?  Grin

Oh, I'm sure the military is aware of us...we've sent them some excellent troops and marines!  Every once in a while, they send us one or two back after they've ETS'ed!  Smiley  I am fairly sure that Lu and co. have heard of Eastwind, if only in hushed conspiratorial tones...people all around the world have heard of it, and its usually in the vein of "Have you heard about these crazy bastards that do a 9 day field op???" Smiley

-edit- If you can't read the jovial nature of this post, that's your own fault..
