In consideration of time, and manpower left before Eastwind, we are shifting our
Field craft Weekend focus from light infantry type patrolling to Mechanized Infantry training. (and packing)
The LOCATION IS CHANGING.
It will be at Brett's house to practice packing the SPW-40 (BTR).
Specifically we will test:
-Storing gear in and on the BTR.
-Putting on the Bows and cover.
-Building extra seats for the Radio operator.
-Tinkering with the radios to make sure they still operate and find freq have the best SWR. Add that data to the big book of Norms.
-Practice dismounting safely.
-See how many bodies will REALLY fit in the BTR.
--with the top open.
--And with the top closed.
-Check the max Load. Make sure that all the required gear and bodies inside does not bottom out the suspension.
To that end, I need the attending East Germans to bring all of the gear and equipment they plan to take
into the field. You can leave your footlocker at home.
That way we can load the BTR.
It will also give me a feel for your packing scheme. Don't worry its not a test, I already know you are all knuckleheads.
But I do need to know how my troops are inclined to pack.
