Comms II:

RF theory (shared between East Bloc and NATO)

Antenna Theory and tuning (Shared between EB and NATO)

M1929 Hoggentenna deployment and tuning (Shared)

OE-254 deployment (NATO) Beam antenna deployment (EB)

    PRC-10 use and tuning (shared)

RT-70, both fixed and vehicle mounted (NATO)

    SEM-52A, FSE-38/58, PRC-350/Clansman (NATO)

RT-68 and BTR-40 mounted comms gear (East Bloc)

    R147N, R126, and R107T (East Bloc)

Practical exercises will be vehicle mounted for the most part and will focus on moving into a position and setting up communications from there so you guys do not need a ton of field gear this time.

Who: is the target audience for Comms II?  Anyone who will be using a radio at either East Wind or in the One Shepherd SLP program.   While the information being taught is obviously aimed primarily at the use of VHF tactical radios, this is very useful and engaging information to regular milsim players of all types so naturally attendees who are neither One Shepherd nor East Wind are encouraged to attend.

Where: Brett’s new country place outside of Farmington, Missouri.  Directions here:  http://www.operationeastwind.com/forum/index.php?topic=578.msg4290#msg4290

When: The first portion of classes begins at 09:00 Saturday Nov 14th and the event endex is 13:00 on Sunday the 15th.  Attendees are strongly encouraged to drive up Friday night and camp out.

How: much does this event cost?  Event cost is $25 and includes lunch Saturday, dinner Saturday and breakfast Sunday.

What: should attendees bring with them?
    Pencil and notepad
    Uniform (your choice)
    Clothing appropriate to the weather
    Comfortable boots
    Sleep gear
    Mess kit
    Cot

In order to sign up post up your desire to attend here.  Please let us know before Wed the 12 of Nov so that we can plan the food logistics.

I am going to eat a whole pot of beans and then probably  leave around 16:00 - 17:00 Friday that way if Stagg rides with me I can get revenge on him for Sunday.
