I saw you guys behind me at Louisburg then you took the exit. I figured you were making a pit stop for food or restrooms. I kept on roaring along at 55. It was probably about 2:30 when I parked the deuce.

I got home 9-ish

Stopped at Surpls Dave's and did some trading.

Then about 1.5hrs from home blew a transmission line.

Was luckily one of the few times I was on a side road after fueling up - so limped it into a parking lot.

Hose clamp had broken - so gas station next door had a set of hose clamps for sale and I bought a bunch of ATF and got it back up and running.

One of the few times I forget to put a full tool kit and parts in the truck for a trip - and that is when I need it.

Glad it was a simple fix and that it happened there - 5 mins later and I would have been on a windy mountain hwy with almost no shoulders.

Was still a good time helping Dewayne and looking like a 3rd world shady roadside vendor - selling paint to PBers ;-)

I should have gotten a picture of you selling paint. We were all pretty busy though.

You need a strippedy awning with tassels to pull of a real 3rd world vender look.

It seemed to be a pretty good business model.

Always carry two trauma kits.
One to induce trauma, and one to reduce trauma.
