Well, re-reading the discussion we have on here, I sketched this out in about 45 minutes as a very rough proof of concept. Used eastwind photos, Mark Twain Nat'l Forest photos, and a few oddball ones as reference. The guy in front is based on Warnick (I think) in one of the EW3 stuck ferret photos, and the guy closer is an Soviet at a training event. The cliff on the left is the West German "cliff of doom" in the south pocket of the 210 valley.

The few of us still active here, what do we think?

Necro post, I realise, but it's been a dog's age since I last logged in.  I'd be in for a shirt or two, size XL or 2XL depending on how long they are.

Also, that pic of yours reminds me far too much of the SME Valley Cody.  I both love and hate it  Wink

My thought process there was sorta fourfold - first, keep it vague enough that each participant sees what they experienced, and gets what they want out of it. Second, a rifleman in profile is a rifleman in profile, even if we know who they are based on. Third, black on light and medium colors keeps cost down and prevents a shirt from getting flashy. Lastly, I liked the concept of a patrol of two or three stepping off into the unknown - one last trail to run, one last patrol to make, one last border to secure, one last war to win. Though our once tight-knit community has largely splintered off into the four winds, these guys, each of us in memory, still patrol under a bracing Eastern Wind.

I'm also checking in on my bi-annual Eastwind update.

Cody, that design is spot on.

I really like this design. Would definitely get a shirt or two if we go with this.
