I'm should be able to make this one. I'm always up for learning new skills. Since it's right after the holiday there shouldn't be anything to stop me. As usual, I'm up for carpooling in the van.

As weapons are not on the list, am I right to presume we are leaving them at home?

I'll leave the weapons up to you but I would not much bother.  It's still hunting season so there are some hassles related to having a weapon on hand that probably outweigh the benefits.

I know the short notice sucks, I would have liked to have given more but my schedule is a little goofy right now.

Interested.  I would say as of now there is a 50% chance i can make it.  I need to find a carpool buddy

Assuming i can go, i would like to brush up on land nav.

Will give a definite yes or no within a week

Despite my gimpy wrist, interested, at about 50% chance at the moment. Need to double-check my equipment though.

As long as you have  way to move it/them that's fine.  The big thing here is that we are operating entirely in the field on this one so you'll need to be able to walk with it.  Keep in mind of course that in your case you do not need to walk with TWO type 884 radios, you'll probably just need to carry one and find a second volunteer to carry #2.
