I am fine running "full militia."  Heck, I went full VC (including tire sandals) for one game.  I just want my helmet at night for the NVGs.

Wisconsin is not exactly close to southern Missouri.   Wink

Always carry two trauma kits.
One to induce trauma, and one to reduce trauma.

Actually even those of us who are "close" are driving 4-8 hours. Vrakos and crew are coming from the North East somewhere too.

Yeah, I am only 4 hours away. Close enough I have no plans to sleep on that end of the state, but not nearby.

Also glad the helmet worked out. The soft cap option I ordered will be here in... January.  Roll Eyes

Just got my "orders" a bit ago - everyone check and make sure you have yours. Apparently we have to present them at registration. The email also includes the address we're supposed to show up at.

Still no AO map...

If only there was a game where you could actually plan stuff out weeks and months before, but it was actually worth your time!

Printed a map:

1cm = 100 m

Also, I appear to be all packed and my AEG is working and zeroed. Since I had it apart, cleaned the barrel and now it is comically good. Every shot in 4" at 70 ft offhand without trying especially hard.

Deployment Orders printed and Participant Waiver printed. Went over "Red List" packing again - OK. Most likely packed more of the optional gear than needed.

I also have slightly too much stuff, and some squad gear to distribute, but even so it all fits on my body or back at least! That's unusual after 7 years of staff or admin at EW. I do plan on ditching a bit based on what the actual conditions are like, everyone's opinion and what the whole squad has so we can be more efficient.

I also hope we're gonna be setting patrol bases, so we don't carry most of this most of the time. Even brought an assault pack so I can leave the ruck at the PB and carry my spare grenades, snacks, and stuff like that with me.

Patrol base and when possible the vehicles will be used to transport full packs to forward units.

Idea to keep troops light and mobile and let the trucks carry the weight.

That being said - carry enough with you to survive comfortably for a bit - since trucks tend to get shwacked rather regularly...

The beauty of being a Eastwind vet is truly understanding how to survive multiple hours in the field with only the basics while the others pack in all the other crap.
