TO: ALL NATO STATIONS THIS AREA

CLASSIFICATION: ROUTINE

25 FEBRUARY 1992 1855L

SIITUATION:

RADIAC READING AT 1730L 16 RH/HR 2 CAN INF REPORTS 22 RH/HR AT INTER-GERMAN BORDER

METREP: WINDS CALM, TEMPS DROPPING, MINOR SNOW/SLEET EXPECTED IN NEXT 24 HOURS. 

MAXIMUM EXPOSED STAY TIME FOR A PREVIOUSLY SHELTERED SOLDIER IS APPOX 1.6 HOURS. 

BREAK SHELTER AS NEEDED TO SOURCE SUPPLIES BUT DO NOT REMAIN EXPOSED NEEDLESSLY.   REMEMBER TO SOURCE ALL WATER FROM STILL RATHER THAN MOVING SOURCES AND IF POSSIBLE ALLOW ALL COLLECTED WATER TO SETTLE PRIOR TO DISPENSING.
