I'm suddenly eligible to participate, although the whole getting-to-the-start-line thing is an issue as always.

We are kind of going to meet in the middle though.

I still want to take a Mutt out to CA and play on the trails down there someday too, just have not made the time for it yet.

Another necro post, sorry guys!  I finally purchased a Bombardier Iltis at the end of May 2018.  While she is in running condition, I plan on taking the winter to get her fully seaworthy.  I floated the idea of an off-road trip or two up here in Manitoba to our guys, but I'm still really interested and excited at this convoy trip (especially since I keep seeing David update with repair pics of his MUTT).

I am fresh out of useful vehicles to take but I would be game to ride along.

It would need planning, but I do have an Adventure bike now. I suppose it would go anywhere where a Mutt can go. Might be an interesting trip Smiley

I like your original planning Al, and I think five six years after the original post they still stand up.  Yes, the challenge would be who has vehicles and who can get the time off, but we all have passenger seats, so even those without vehicles could make the trip.  Hell, if the vehicle owners are comfortable with it, they could be co-driver's too!

So....assuming the trails in the San Juan Mountains are still open to military vehicles only....convoy 2019?  Cheesy

And it might not be a bad idea to start listing out who has what for vehicles, and maybe radios too, so we know how many seats are available.
