Angry Everyone involved with Eastwind II  Angry

With a heavy heart I have finally succumbed to the truth, I can not attend Eastwind II  Cry As Misha knows my wife's van took a complete dive but I overcame that obstacle and got her a new car, then it was last minute purchases, scrambling to meet the scale of issue. Of course there was a small misunderstanding between myself and another Eastwind'r but that too was cleared up. Then I get supposedly good news about a promotion at work but I have to miss the COMMS class. Well, with this promotion (which I am getting, hands down) comes a little company officer training module hardlined for the 16th thru 20th.  Roll Eyes

I really comes down to getting a promotion or having that block of time off, according to the powers that be. Needless to say the "Wind" is knocked out of my sails. I am very split on this guys and I am so, so, Sorry to have to do this but I can not attend Eastwind II. EWII was a challenge I was getting ready to meet, however I do feel that my family and job have to come first. It would be insane for me to pass this opportunity up, because it will not come again.

Now with that being said, I will continue to buy gear, and attend the future events. I am not giving up on Eastwind, instead I am going to drive myself for all of the training event and EWIII. Thank you for understanding and I hope to see everyone again in the near future.

Regards,
David "Nevsky" Neff

It is To bad but understandable that you can't make it. I expect you to show up to Eastwind III in a BMP though!

Sorry to hear that Nevsky, you will be missed.  Hopefully circumstances will be more in your favor next year.
On the plus side, you could possibly see some Militzia action on either weekend.

I think you are making a wise decision Nevsky.  I hate to see you not make it out but I am glad to see you moving ahead.

Perhaps we shall see you at East Wind III or more of the train up events.

It is one hell of an opportunity that popped up for you...

Sure the time period is off, but I expect to see one of these next year:

See ya at the next training event  Cool

Your support is amazing! Thanks so much, and Abica be careful what you wish for... After all the Union Pacific bought out the MOPAC so we have rail lines going near the AO  Shocked

Seriously though I will be at the future events, you can count on it  Grin

That stinks...but look at it this way, it gives you a whole year to get trained up, geared up (more) and in "fightin shape".

Well the good news is that I got the job!! No bad news to report sans missing Eastwind II for manager/FTX training. None the less, in this economy this is a good thing because the flood gates of Soviet gear have opened upon me. My money is now going out just as fast as my stockpile of gear is growing, at least it is not a negative exponential difference between the two! Durango 6 (wife) is happy so all is well on the Nevsky front.  Grin

That is great news indeed, comrade! No doubt you will now smash all production quotas and redouble your efforts toward spreading progressive socialism to all!
