East Wind Approved AK-74 Variants

Soviets Forces at East Wind will be armed primarily with the AK-74 series of weapons.

The AKS-74 is the preffered variant for Soviet Forces at East Wind. These can have the Wood, Plum polymer or Black polymer handguards.

The AK-74 is an acceptable variant for Soviet Forces at East Wind. These can have the Wood, Plum polymer or Black polymer stock and handguards. At this time the AK-74M (side folding full-stock)is not an approved variant for East Wind.

The RPK-74 is an acceptable variant for Soviet Forces at East Wind. These can have the Wood, Plum polymer or Black polymer stock and handguards. The RPK-74 was never isseud with a drum mag so the longer 45rd RPK-74 mags or regular AK-74 mags must be used. The RPK-74 is a section asset - so there will be only one per section at any given time so you will need to coordinate within your section and it is highly advised you also bring an AKS-74 or AK-74 to East Wind.

The AKS-74U is an acceptable variant for certain roles within the Soviet Forces at East Wind. Vehicle crewmembers, Headquarters Staff and RPG-7 gunners are authorized to use the AKS-74U
